Hello sisters! You are probably thinking "What does she mean marry yourself?" I'm not talking about putting on a wedding dress, going to the alter, and saying your vows to yourself in front of a priest. I am simply talking about falling in love ❤️ with your whole self. In my Positive Psychology class I had to watch a video by Tracy’s McMillan’s “The person you really need to marry.” She states that you need to marry yourself. I was so inspired to write this post after watching and hope you will be inspired too (video below).
Vows to Love YourselfMarry yourself for richer or for poorer.
You have to love yourself right where you are. When you do this you can get where you need to go.
Marry yourself for better or for worse.
Everyone loves ourselves when its better, but we need to learn to love ourselves during the bad times too.
Marry yourself in sickness and in health.
You need to forgive yourself for your mistakes. When you make mistakes, make sure to learn from it.
Marry yourself to have and to hold.
Love yourself the way you want others to love you.
I was not always happy with who I am and it has been a continuous journey to really love the person I am. But by loving myself I have been able to truly love others and give love freely. It is amazing how loving yourself can enrich caring for others.
Are you truly in love with yourself? It is never to late to fall in love with you. Stand in the mirror today and take a vow to fall in love with your whole self.
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.” ~ Buddha
